Four WCU students who have been enrolled in creative writing classes this academic year will attend the 12:20 p.m. program to read from their works, said Ron Rash, WCU’s Parris Distinguished Professor of Appalachian Culture.
Rash said the writers represent “new, talented voices in our region’s literature. One of the most encouraging actions people can take is to come and attend this program to support these emerging writers,” Rash said.
Programs in the series are designed to accommodate the lunchtime hour, as guests are encouraged to bring their lunches. The programs include a 30-minute presentation and an opportunity for visitors to meet the presenter.
